What's it about?

When sixteen-year-old book author, Selena Dixon gets informed by her mother that she is a witch- on the first day of her summer vacation-her summer is not only ruined, but she tries to deny the fact. Even worse, she must leave the comfort of her British home to travel to a school on the remote planet of Saturn. Her only comfort is her newest friend, Megan, is there to be with her on her side for the year. At the school, Selena has the time of her life...except that the evil wizard, Nuxsums, is out to get her. Will Selena survive multiple encounters with this unbelievable strength of power? With Selena's point of view describing her adventures, you will find out
if the last straw is pulled from her life, or if the joke is on Nuxsums. (Nuxsums is spelt correctly. It is a made up name for the evil guy)

Who is this guy?

Ian Schrauth is an eighteen-year-old boy from St. Louis, MO. He has four novellas self published, including the first three in the Vacillation Saga (Which is a saga of 15 novellas) His other books include "Vacillating brown and Black: Vol. 1 & 2". "Till; I find you: Vol. 1", and "Dangerously in love".

Ian currently lives with his family in St. Louis where he goes to St. Louis Community College (and is planing to be on the school's newspaper staff) where he will be studying creative writing and Software Development. He is going to be a sophomore in college.

Ian also is connected to people online, including Vine, Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook (Just to name a few)

What books are similar to this book?

The Harry potter series (J. K. Rowling), Ava (Hannah Hoffmeister), and Widdidorm (Hannah Hoffmeister)

Who can read it?

Well, it can be for anyone, but is mainly focused on teens and above. When i mean teens, i mean, like, 14 and above. Any other age can enjoy it. If you see on the reviews, those two people are adults, and they enjoyed the book.

How will you market and promote?

The main promotion that I have is a Vine channel, so i can make a LOT of vine videos there. I can also use my facebook fan page to give updates, news, etc to you guys, The way i can use it for my youtube is to give out the finished copy to reviewers like The Readables, Mandi Lynn, and many others. I can also be a guest speaker on channels like The Creative Penn, and a lot more. People can follow me on LinkedIn, and they would know about my books there. I can also host a goodreads giveaway for the finished product and give out a specific number of books for free to a lucky winner.

I can also use Twitter to have people take a selfie of them holding my book with the hashtag, #SchrauthSelfie

And for offline, i am doing an article with my local newspaper company and i can have them include this in there too. They are going to put me in the newspaper about me and my books that have been published. I can do some book signings at my local B&N bookstore at my mall, and that will give me some promotion, and some money that i can use for future edits on books.

What are people saying about it?

"Fans of the Harry Potter books should enjoy Powers in a Teenage Witch. A teenage girl finds out that she is half witch half human. After kidnap attempts she is sent to witch school on Saturn where she encounters teachers against her and attempts on her life. Told in the first person it reads like a diary. The author, Ian, does an excellent job of getting into the head of a teenage girl."

- Fredrick Danysh, goodreads.com and "A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A finally well written delightful futuristic HS sci-fi book. It wasn't always very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish, but never a dull moment.

There were several grammar/typo errors, but no repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great teen futuristic sci-fi movie, animated cartoon, or mini TV series. It was fun to read & I know MS age would love it." - Tony Parsons, Goodreads.com and amazon.com

What is his goal?

My goal is to have Powers in a teenage witch picked up by a publisher, or to be edited and be self published once again. I hope that Powers in a teenage witch will make it into libraries, bookstores, and have good reviews on amazon, and goodreads. I am only an eighteen-year-old going for a degree in creative writing and Software development, who has a part time job, and saving for school and college, so it is difficult to get an editor that can look at it well.

What will I receive?

Someone might receive their name in the book, and some might receive their company promoted. It all depends. I WILL NOT, AND I REPEAT...NOT, PROMOTE COMPANIES AGAINST RELIGION, RACE, SEXUALITY, ABORTION, DEATH OR ANYTHING AGAINST HUMAN KIND. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE PROMOTION IF YOU HAVE ONE AND ASK ME TO PROMOTE IT! Just saying now. Plus i will be very graceful to you...just saying that too. More information of what you will receive is in the rewards section.

Thank you. Ian Schrauth, teenage author.
