Synopsis

Verily all things travel in our body and soul in a constant half embrace. The soul is a battlefield waging war between our reason and passion. Every human being is endowed with a "Will" or "Volition". The brain is a haywire mystery network that gets drained off its energy when things are performed against volition. The prefrontal cortex is the part of our brain that enhances volition thereby making an individual responsible for abstract thinking, analyzing thoughts and regulating behavior. In a study conducted by the American Psychological association in 2011, 27% of the respondents of the Stress in America survey reported a lack of willpower as the greatest obstacle to change. When we meditate or ponder conflicting thoughts, predict outcomes of our choices, and decide “right versus wrong,” we are relying on our prefrontal cortex. You can do everything right and still lose, or do everything wrong and still win. Connecting the dots in this circuit and steering them in the right proportions is the key to revelation.

With life pausing the looming of a pandemic, The Volition Code is the need of the hour because people have become more fragile with a paucity of lack of cognition, confidence, motivation, and happiness. Scientists at the University of Toronto found that people whose willpower was depleted, showed decreased activity in the anterior cingulate cortex, a brain region involved with cognition and confidence thereby indirectly affecting the limbic system of the brain which is primarily responsible for emotions. When your willpower has been tested, your brain may actually function differently.

Unlike most self-improvement books, this one vibrantly explains the most important array of areas like resilience, cognition, ego, love and determination by which you can safely enhance your thinking, introspection, and emotional balance. III. The code of value and virtue: Many people presume deceit to be a valuable currency as it pays to stay one step ahead. However, do what is right and not what is comfortable. Moral actions increase our capacity for willpower and physical endurance.

IV. The code of belonging: Belonging refers to acceptance. It is the need to give and receive attention to the customarily acquainted people. Belonging also means building meaningful relationships, and an inherent human need genetically wired in every one of us.

V. The code of emotions: Emotions are complex mental responses to stimuli, with an overarching valence that leans towards the positive or negative. Gratitude, empathy, and compassion encourage self-control and patience, thereby delivering happiness.

VI. The code of resilience: Resilience is about 'bouncing back.' It is a crucial ingredient in the process of adversity and recovery. It's the ability to not fold under pressure even if you don't feel calm and confident.

VII. The code of change: Change is a constant phenomenon; however, if our change doesn't have a planned purpose and destination, we would remain stagnant and hardly slide through our existence.

VIII. The code of affection: The long road we offer to the world without expectation comes to an end when benefit starts lurking our soul. Let us be mindful of the various phases articulating the realm of life behind this parable.

IX. The code of motivation: Motivation is the desire to do while volition is the absolute commitment to achieving something. Goad your circuits to shelf the mind wherein you can ignite curiosity and nourish dreams.

X. The code of cognition: People always wish to see what they expect rather than what violates their expectations. Cognition seeks to explain behavior through mental processes. Understand your conscious level and conscious self.

XI. The code of confidence: In this world, everything governs by balance. Fallbacks create energy leakage and sap our resolve to breakthrough and breakout. Learn to own the situation and adopt personal responsibility.

XII. The code of determination: Success usually comes down to choosing the pain of discipline over the ease of distraction. Real determination is not dependent on temporary enthusiasm. It is the volition that brings about a constant fire in you.

XIII. The code of inter-personal relationship: Being unfriendly and condescending would only end up sending a lousy wave of your trait. Instead of creating walls, open your life to the art of genuine connection, thereby constructing enduring relationships.

XIV. The code of ego: Ego is a loud, boasting, and inflated sense of self, directed at other people. Happiness does not lie in individual pursuits but acknowledging that all things between the journey of life and death, are an eternal and ongoing combat conceit with giving and being.

XV. The code of creativity: The inflow of ideas is always governed by the creativity the mind steers. Cultivate a field that a million daffodils may glow, rather than sticking on to a pot holding a single rose.

XVI. The code of love: Love is what ignites our great flock - Our family. In our old age, when the mind withers in the gloom, we still look out for our true soulmate and start to realize that everything else apart from love was fleeting. What matters most is the relationships that guided, supported, challenged, and deepened our earthly living.

XVII. The code of purposive survival: What's more human than the fight for survival. The world never sees the effort taken; it only offers praise when your results turn to a success model. Success in life is not about outplaying other people but about being the best version of you.
