About the author

Served fifteen years on active duty in the Marines, have been a yoga instructor for thirteen years. I'm a corporate executive and keynote speaker, as well as a life strategist. My life was transformed when I read Think and Grow Rich. Synopsis

Doing. It’s what we do. It’s how we spend the majority of our time, and how we make decisions. "What should I do?" "What are you doing?" "What do you want to do?" Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The reward for a thing well done is to have done it.” He was right. But this idea has been warped into an equation for how we live our lives that leaves us unfulfilled. We chase what we want by doing. To bastardize Emerson, we mistakenly believe the thing we want to become is the reward for the thing well done. This simple premise is widely accepted across the planet.
Being. It's who we are. Having an understanding of who we truly are is our truth, regardless of what that truth looks like. In order to lead a fulfilling, rich, and uplifting life, we must accept this truth. Only in accepting our truth can we really move forward. From there, we must create a vision. A vision of who we want to become. The clearer vision we have...how that being thinks, what their habits are, where they spend their energy...the clearer the path we create in understanding what we need to do to become that version of ourselves.
I have a wildly diverse background from the Marines to Corporate America to Yoga. The journey that transformed my life was one of love. I was looking for love externally...doing...boxed in by beliefs I'd carried with me since childhood. It was only after trying as hard as I could to make a relationship work ~ hundreds of poems, flowers, patience, listening ~ only to see that relationship implode after three years that I accepted my shortcomings, learned to love myself, and discovered unconditional love. Simply put, I discovered how to be something more than I ever had been before.

Sales arguments

No one has explored this concept to this depth and detail. Sure, there are articles out there on Do-Have-Be and Be-Do-Have, but this subject needs more attention. The power of words is all around us; we only need to take advantage of them and embrace their power.
